NaPoWriMo, day 1

I make no commitment against falling into trite clichés or struggling against my preference for quips.  My first day’s NaPoWriMo attempt:

Laying by the surf, looking at the sky. Lark of a day.
Wool gathering through a work day wanting to fly away,
Breeze tugging the shell nestled against the sand and the spray,
Inside the wolf that howls at our vile lives, “gouge away.”

Songs (from Ampache‘s random playlist generator):

Thanks to Donna Vorreyer at ReadWritePoem for the prompt!
